Well, here it is! Hop on over to the downloads page and download yourself a copy of Incursion!
It’s been a very long 14 months in the making. It took lots of really late nights and long weekends by a whole bunch of dedicated people to make this a reality. Most people on the team worked for free or for very reduced rates in order to just make it real. It has been brutal but it has been a labor of love. We all hope you enjoy yourselves with this game.
I can’t thank everyone who worked on this here but I would, in particular like to call out my friend Tammy (Tears of Envy) who was always there to prop me back up when I started to fall. Also, without the expertise of Andy and Wendy of West Wind Productions, this thing likely would not be…
So, we have at last reached the end…of the beginning!

Naval Thunder: Clash of Dreadnoughts — Review
Naval Thunder: Clash of Dreadnoughts: A Game of Naval Warfare 1906-1918 is the premier game from the small new publisher Steel Dreadnought Games. Naval Thunder: COD is a tactical naval warfare miniatures game. It is available as a PDF only publication and it comes with two versions of the main rulebook (both in black and white); a graphics heavy version and a print ready version with no background or images. The graphics heavy version is 50 pages and includes a number of period photos as well as a page of color counters. The print ready version is 45 pages in a basic, straightforward layout with a few tables and graphics. The game also includes a two page quick reference card as well as 45 pages of ship data cards (78 ships) for the Kaiserliche and Royal Navy only. The cards are similar to those in Starmada and fit two to a page (destroyer flotillas one to a page). The cards are clear and contain the relevant information but unfortunately contain no image or even silhouette of the ship they represent. Read the rest of this entry »
Planetstrike — Review
The blokes over at World’s End Radio have done a very nice review of GW’s latest Warhammer 40,000 expansion Planetstrike. It is in Episode #23 – Planet Killers starting at 39:20min into the show.
Like many of the recent reviews on the Web, they cover the basics of the Planetstrike book, but they also go into detail about army options and strategies as well as terrain effects, terrain building and use of strategems. Overall a great show for those thinking about Planetstrike as well as for those who already have it.
Getting Started with Planetstrike
Games Workshop has a nice article introducing their new Planetstrike expansion for Warhammer 40,000. It also includes lots of great photos of the new model releases.
Bell of Lost Souls now has a Planetstrike review posted.

Theatre of War 2 — Review
Armchair General magazine has a nice review of Battlefront’s Theatre of War 2: Africa 1943. TOW2 is a WW2 tactical computer wargame.
Overall, Theatre of War 2 is just the sort of game tread-heads have been waiting for. Historically accurate and lovingly detailed, the easy-to-use interface is great for intermediate and advanced wargamers. Newer players may be put off by the brutal combat environment, but they will be rewarded by sticking with it. While the limited number of scenarios is disappointing, future expansions will hopefully fill the gaps. So if the sound of tanks on the move warms your heart, sign up for Theatre of War 2. The panzers await your command.

RAF: The Battle of Britain — Coming Soon

Decision Games is redoing RAF, the classic solitaire game on the Battle of Britain from West End Games originally published more than two decades ago. RAF ‘deluxe’ is now three games in one. You can play solitaire as the British or the Germans or play it as a two-player game. The original RAF was probably one of the best solitaire games ever made. It used a card-based system that was easy to use and kept both the excitement and the challenge high. We are looking forward to this remake.
TGN Back on the Air…Again
Tabletop Gaming News is back on the air. Battlefront is now hosting and sponsoring them. With luck this will be the last ‘going down’ message we see from TGN…or not.
New Plastic Hellhound Spotted!
Bell of Lost Souls has pictures of the upcoming 40K, all-plastic, Imperial Guard Hellhound kit debuted at Gamesday Spain. It looks a bit like the Graia Pattern Forge World kit but, unlike some of GW’s newer releases, deviates from it considerably. It includes all three of the new Hellhound variants. Nice to have it in plastic but we wish they had done the Artemia Pattern instead.
